On May 15, 2002, Imagination Technologies released Version 5.10 of the Flexible Research System (FRS). In keeping with our commitment to ensure that FRS remains up-to-date with the latest changes in the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act) and any other legislation which affects our clients, the FRS Technical Team has addressed California Senate Bill 655 in this new release. For applicants and/or employers operating in the state of California, FRS can be configured to automatically generate the required cover page using the proper font requirements, as well as required Consumer Letters for reporting adverse action. At Imagination Technologies, we have always been driven to meet our client's needs. Because the Background Screening Industry is so heavily regulated by the FCRA and other legislation like this new California senate bill, we are acutely focused on ensuring that FRS has the features and support needed to meet and exceed these regulations.

This new release also includes the implementation of the FRS Automated Email module. FRS has provided support for emailing results, search lists, and other reports since 1999. But, the new FRS Automated Email Module was developed to fully automate this process. This new Module provides support for unattended emailing of results and daily status reports to clients, search lists and overdue tracer lists to researchers, as well as several different specialized email notifications. This is all handled by the FRS Automation Server and is seamlessly integrated with FRS and transparent to each user submitting emails from their workstations. Other features include compression and encryption of email attachments, unique passwords for each recipient, full "sent message" tracking, and settings for automatic message generation to your exact specifications.

Version 5.10 of FRS also includes additional functionality in the FRS Automation Server to enable it to further automate a variety of processes encountered in daily operations and minimize the labor requirements of screening firms using FRS. The FRS Technical Team is continually enhancing this powerful FRS tool to better empower the users of the Flexible Research System.
