Phil Chapman: President
Phil has more than 25 years of experience in software development. After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from East Carolina University, he spent the first twelve years of his technology career with Backroom Systems Group, Bell and Howell Protocorp, Mecklenburg County, N.C. and PCA International. Phil was provided with the opportunity in 1993 to develop a custom software product for a startup background investigation company in Charlotte, N.C. This product turned out to be so advantageous for this client that they began telling their associates about it, and thus The Flexible Research System (FRS) was born. Between 1996 and 1999, Phil spent much of his spare time enhancing the FRS system and acquiring new clients until May of 1999 when the time was right with 15 national firms using FRS to take Imagination Technologies into a full-time endeavor. Imagination Technologies has grown into a company which is now providing background screening operations and web solutions to more than 200 companies in the background screening industry.

Lynn Chapman: Vice President
Lynn brings with her more than 20 years of experience in Accounting to our company. She obtained an Associates degree in Retail Merchandising in 1984 from Kings College in Charlotte, NC, then supplemented that education through the accounting program at Anson Community College. Her vast work experience as an accountant includes several tax seasons at H&R Block, a lengthy tenure with the Collins and Boike CPA firm and as the office manager at the Williams Textiles firm, both of Monroe, NC. Her entrepreneurial endeavors have included the creation and management of Private Secretary Unlimited, The Basket Tree and The Party Carousel. Then, in 1996 she helped in the formation and incorporation of Imagination Technologies and has served as Vice President of our company, overseeing all accounting, benefits, payroll and tax operations ever since.

Rob Stewart: Sales Manager
Rob has an extensive background in sales, operations management, and client relations which is complemented by his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Finance from the Belk College of Business at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Previous employment includes numerous levels of service with the national restaurant chain Grady's American Grill and sales/operations manager with Unfinished Business, a N.C. gift manufacturing company. Rob joined Imagination Technologies in 1999 as our first employee and provided a great boost to our sales efforts. Rob has a great mind for business as well as a very likable personality. Sometimes when callers ask what FRS stands for, he jokingly says "Friendly Rob Stewart". If you ever attend the NAPBS or Background Investigator trade shows, then you are sure to know Rob because he always has a crowd around him.

Kevin Scott: Manager of Systems Architecture
Kevin has spent the past 25 years developing software in numerous computer languages for a very broad range of industries. These industries include healthcare, insurance, finance, accounting, entertainment, computer technology, commercial real estate, and government administration. During this time he has earned recognition and awards for his work and has had several articles published in international trade magazines. Kevin has conducted many workshops and seminars on various topics related to the technology field, and has also served as a consultant for a number of large and small corporations in all phases of software development. In addition to programming for a variety of national companies, in 2000, Kevin secured a position managing all of the software development and support for the accounting department at First Union Capital Markets, Inc. (Now Wachovia Securities). As manager of the main FRS product line, Kevin strongly feels that truly listening to the wants and needs of the client is what separates a good software solution from a great one. It is this core value, along with his great enthusiasm and pride in his work that enables Kevin to continually deliver innovative ideas to further develop and enhance FRS.

Jeff Gregg: Strategic Services Manager
Jeff has more than 20 years experience in IT development and project management. After receiving his Bachelor of Art degree in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Jeff held lengthy tenures at Bank of America and with the Intranet Development division of the Wachovia Corporation, where he specialized in .NET development. Jeff has been working with Imagination Technologies as a consultant since 2000 and came on board full-time in early 2007. Jeff coordinates and manages all of the custom projects, integrations and technical consulting for FRS clients. In addition, Jeff serves as the project manager and lead developer for each of our web-based product lines. Jeff possesses a wealth of knowledge and skills from his varied experience in IT and has been extremely successful in providing unique, highly complex solutions and integrations for the clients of FRS. Jeff strives to ensure that every FRS client with whom he works is provided with the right solution or cutting-edge integration they need to win new business.

Mike Hiott: Software Engineer
Mike holds both a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Francis Marion University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Mike Hiott has been working in IT since 1984 with vast experience in business analysis, database administration and software development with lengthy tenures at Duke Energy and AirT Corporation. Mike complements the FRS team with many years of experience in SQL development and has served as the architect and lead developer of several large Business Intelligence applications. Mike also brings experience in the development of .NET Internet applications using ASP.NET and VB.NET. Mike works on the flagship FRS product, works on many special projects for FRS clients and serves as the liaison between the development team and the FRS Help Desk to provide senior level support to ensure that our clients get all of the help they need with their questions and issues.

Sam McLamb: Client Services Manager
Sam brings a rich, 25-year background in designing and building successful Technical Support organizations in the software support industry. Sam comes to FRS from an organization that implemented software deployments and advanced support for Fujitsu, AT&T, Verizon, Cingular and other telecommunication firms domestically and around the world. Sam has built disaster recovery programs for some of the most mission critical networks in the country for US Government entities. He thrives on customer satisfaction by building strong processes and even stronger relationships with his customer base. He has led large software deployment and support organizations in the USA, Europe and the Far East and understands diverse requirements and cultures. His concentrations involve the progression of our support services to ensure that we are providing the latest and best possible training, support and client communication methods. Sam utilizes his refined skill sets in conjunction with our excellent FRS Technical Support staff to bring "Best in Class" Technical Support to the FRS customer base.

Patty Reed: Technical Support Specialist II
With Associate Degrees in Business Computer Programming, Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, Patty has enjoyed a diverse career in many technical disciplines. Patty has 24+ years of experience in the fields of engineering, drafting and design, analysis, programming and technical support. After stints with Dupont, RJ Reynolds and Westinghouse, in 1998 Patty secured a position as a Technical Support Engineer with Microsoft at their Charlotte campus, providing developer support for the Microsoft Access database product. In 2000, Patty joined our staff at Imagination Technologies as our first full-time Technical Support Specialist. After almost ten years in this position, Patty has been a tremendous help to the users of FRS and is held in the highest esteem by our clients. Patty specializes in helping our clients with their support issues and questions as well as providing training sessions to new clients and to existing clients to demonstrate the features and tools in our new releases. The clients of FRS appreciate her insightful assistance, her willingness to go the extra mile in helping them, and her ability to research and find solutions no matter how unique the situation they encounter.

Andy Smith: Technical Support Specialist II
Andy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA. In the years following graduation, Andy gained valuable communication skills with customers and employees in various retail management positions. Andy began supplementing his education through technical training at New Horizon and South Piedmont Community College and currently holds A+ Hardware Certification and is a Certified Microsoft MCP. Andy's technical experience includes working at the IT support desk at Allvac Metals of Monroe, NC, assisting employees and corporate management with daily network, software and hardware issues. This experience has been very beneficial as Andy joined our staff in 2003 and began assisting the clients of FRS with their support calls. Andy's vast knowledge and understanding of Networking, Security and the latest Microsoft technologies has helped him become a valuable asset to our business and to the clients of FRS with whom he works each day. Andy's experience with local and wide area networking, TCP/IP and Internet communications come in handy every day as he manages our secure server farm and Managed Services program. When questions arise in day-to-day operations, Andy can always be counted on to provide the answers needed to ensure that our clients are fully benefitting from their FRS systems.

Rebecca Melton: Technical Support Specialist I
Rebecca has been working at Imagination Technologies in various capacities since 2005. In 2007 she became a full-time member of the FRS Help Desk. Through her Internet Technologies studies at South Piedmont Community College and her ability to learn so quickly, Rebecca brings a freshness and youthful exuberance to our technical support team which has blended well with the many years of IT experience comprising our strong technical support team. Rebecca manages the front-line at our help desk and is often the first voice our clients hear when they call in and receive our help with their systems and their business. Rebecca also leads many of our training sessions and is very helpful in teaching our clients about new features and functionality in our products. In addition to her support duties, Rebecca works with Patty on the graphic design roll-outs of our web products, helps us to maintain this website and manages the continual data collection and updates for the FRS Homeland Security Search product.
